Of the 3 missives Reduce Refuse Recycle, REFUSE will have the biggest impact. Our approach to the Climate Crisis requires a 180 degree shift in our mindset. However, we have been bombarded with messages of success including bigger, faster, more, expansion, progress and economic growth as the only measures for decades.
What if we first thought of less, of simple, of satisfaction with what is in front of us as the filters that we look through?
What if we started to say NO?
From simple things:
No to straws, paper napkins, paper plates, single use plastics, a destination wedding, using shopping as therapy.
To more impactful things:
Politicians without a solid Green agenda, investing in fossil fuel extraction.
